HCP Board Meets and Also Thanks Dianne Mather For a Tremendous Volunteer Effort

The HCP Board held its first zoom meeting June 3rd, scheduled at 7:00 p.m. and by 7:03 we were all on!  Well done everyone! 

We met to discuss going forward in our theatre offerings but, more importantly to acknowledge the stepping down of our Treasurer for the past ten years, Dianne Mather. 

Dianne has been invaluable to HCP, not only with her usual treasurer duties, but with her initiating, presenting and encouraging of projects to make HCP a better organization.  She has been a wonderful liaison with the town as we all worked to improve the Civic Theatre for everybody's use.

Dianne will leave at the end of her term on October 31st.  Consequently we are looking for a volunteer to join the board and take on the duties of the Treasurer.  We are a charitable organization and we must be accurate in our reporting to the government.  Dianne used Excel and Quikbooks herself and is quite willing to assist the new treasurer to take over the books.

Please contact HCP through our website if you feel you have this interest and would consider joining our completely volunteer Board.  We formally meet once per month during the season (usually 8 times) on the second Wednesday of the month.  We hold two hour meetings from 7:00 pm. to 9:00 pm.  

We are also in need of a Student Rep(s) who will volunteer to attend board meetings and help us keep in touch with youth with their suggestions and input.  It's a great way to see how theatre happens and help to guide us.  Past volunteers have even directed  plays under our guidance (but this is not a requirement!).
